    Compliance Summary

    Last updated: 29 May 2026

This page summarises the controls ProxyGenio has in place to keep its service safe for legitimate professional customers and aligned with the expectations of acquirer banks, payment processors and regulators.

    1. Customer onboarding

    • Every customer must accept the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy at sign-up. The version of each document the customer accepted is stored, together with the timestamp, source IP and browser, in our audit log.
    • Each customer must be at least 18 years old and must not reside in or operate from a country subject to comprehensive international sanctions.
    • Email verification is required before any purchase. Suspicious email patterns are auto-flagged for manual review.

    2. Anti-money-laundering and counter-fraud

    • Higher-value transactions trigger an additional identity check (document upload and verification) before the payment is released to the customer account.
    • Customers are screened against the consolidated sanctions lists published by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
    • Unusual top-up patterns (e.g. multiple high-value micro-transactions in a short window) are quarantined for manual review before bandwidth credits are released.
    • All transactions are reconciled daily; processor settlements are audited monthly.

    3. Prohibited-use enforcement

ProxyGenio blocks traffic to entire categories of high-risk destinations at the network level. Categories currently enforced include:

    • Child sexual abuse material — proactively blocked using a regularly updated reference list; suspected exposures are reported to the appropriate national hotline (NCMEC in the United States, IWF in the United Kingdom).
    • Illegal gambling and unlicensed betting sites in jurisdictions where they are prohibited.
    • Banking and fintech login portals, when accessed in a pattern consistent with credential-harvesting attempts.
    • Government, judicial and critical-infrastructure portals where unauthorised access is a criminal offence.

These controls run on the network entry point, before any traffic reaches the underlying proxy infrastructure. Detected attempts are logged, the customer account is suspended pending review, and confirmed violations result in account termination without refund.

    4. Acceptable Use Policy

Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out, in explicit terms, the activities customers may not engage in. Customers acknowledge this policy at sign-up and accept that violations result in immediate suspension and termination.

    5. Cooperation with law enforcement

ProxyGenio cooperates with valid legal process from competent authorities. We will not disclose customer data without a lawful basis, but we do not shield illegal conduct from investigation. Requests can be sent to legal@proxygen.io and are triaged within one business day.

    6. Payment-dispute management

    • Customers accept a chargeback waiver at sign-up: disputes must first go through our support team before any chargeback is filed.
    • Suspected chargeback abuse is referred to industry fraud-prevention databases (Ethoca, Verifi) and to the processor's collections workflow.
    • Our refund policy and the way it is enforced are designed to keep our chargeback rate below the thresholds set by major card networks (Visa VAMP, Mastercard ECP).

    7. Data protection

We process personal data in line with the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) and, for EEA/UK customers, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Details — what we collect, the legal basis, retention periods, and your rights — are in the Privacy Policy.

    8. Reporting abuse

If you believe ProxyGenio has been used to engage in any prohibited activity, please email abuse@proxygen.io. We acknowledge every report and act on confirmed violations within one business day.
